The Biotechnology Research Center received a field visit from the College of Agriculture, University of Diyala, Department of Field Crop Sciences, for the morning study session on November 1, 2023, Wednesday.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students with the principles of DNA extraction and the PCR technique through a theoretical lecture presented by Lecturer Duha Maisar. Additionally, the practical aspect was demonstrated by Assistant Professor Eman Naaman, the coordinator of the Plant Biotechnology Department, which included DNA extraction and electrophoresis.
The visiting team was led by Assistant Professor Zhalal Mahdi Abdulqadir, Head of the Quality Assurance Department in the Field Crops Department, along with Ms. Miada Mohammed Abdul Latif, Ms. Dania Salman, and Ms. Ghofran Ali Hussein.
Lecturer Doha guided the visiting team through the center’s departments, introducing them to the various laboratory procedures.
